Trump should have stuck with reality TV
I'm afraid I have to give a vote of no confidence to President Donald Trump. I'm now frightened.
We have a paranoid, free-tweeting leader of the free world who's taken his "Apprentice" tactics all the way to the White House. His inept, amateurish administration can't even get their story straight on the firing of James Comey. It now looks like Trump can add witness-tampering and obstruction of justice to his resume.
Please explain how a potential target of an FBI investigation can ask the very person in charge of that investigation to dinner, and then ask if he is a target? And ask for a loyalty pledge to boot? And then fire him?
You can't make this stuff up. Wow, I never thought I'd be thinking about seeing two presidents impeached in my lifetime, but it looks ever so much more possible.
Oh, regarding one of the storylines about Comey losing the confidence of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, I asked a recently-retired FBI Agent how Comey was perceived by the rank-and-file.
"Revered!" was his answer.
And, finally, President Trump, please stop saying nobody is interested in your tax returns. I am, particularly since you haven't supported aggressive actions against our common foe and ever-growing threat.
