Withers Swash Park is a Myrtle Beach embarassment

When looking at the vast improvements made in Myrtle Beach over the past 10 years, one thing sticks out like a sore thumb: Withers Swash Park, a great-looking establishment built right on the swash covered with shade from beautiful trees with a nice covered area to host parties.

But this establishment is no longer a park for kids to play in and for children's birthday parties. It’s become an area where Myrtle Beach officials allow people to sleep at night, fight in the streets, and partake in unlawful narcotics activities and prostitution.

You may think, “Well, when you see these types of activities, call the cops,” but they simply drive through and leave.

What has this city become? We will spend money to create a new children's museum and library, but we are not willing to clean up the places we already have? Sounds to me that the city would rather build something and forget about it.
