You laugh at Trump, you give license to laugh at the U.S.

I would like to know why the late night show hosts take our freedom of speech and use it to make fun of the president of the United States. We have a new president who, like all his predecessors, is trying to keep our country safe. I don’t hear comedians from other countries make fun of their heads of state.

How do we expect other countries and their citizens to respect us and our president if every night there is a round of jokes made at our country’s expense? Yes, our country, not just the president.

My parents were immigrants, became U.S. citizens and flew the American flag because they were proud of this wonderful country. Whether you like the president or not, we all need to stand together - Democrat and Republican - for our great nation, which needs to be protected and respected.
