This disappointed Democrat is rooting for Trump

I don’t know what’s more frightening, that Russia could have compromised our voting process, or that angry white men carried the election.

Or, maybe Donald Trump’s big advantage came from pro-life people. So many of us can’t understand that movement. Pro-life here, but pro-death there.

Maybe it was the emails, or FBI Director James Comey’s handling of them, that finally did Hillary Clinton in. For that fiasco to have occurred days before the election seemed more than unconscionable. It looked, to many of us, unconstitutional. We asked for truth, but we were given a sideshow that left our democratic nominee looking like a battered woman.

Could it have been Obamacare? It’s true our children should not have to carry that huge financial burden, but we would have fixed it. There wasn’t a choice.

Maybe, though, it was the stimulus package. With interest it will cost $1.2 trillion. Wow.

But think about the wars. With interest, the cost is between $4 trillion and 6 trillion.

At least the stimulus package provided for roads and bridges, health care, education, seniors, disabled veterans, the environment, transportation and tax cuts for businesses.

What did the war on terror net? Tons of people dead. That’s deplorable! What about the commandment, “Thou shalt not kill”?

Please hear yourselves, and hear others, because this is our country, too, and we will not put up with inhumane treatment.

Still, I know this is also your America. It is true that we are stronger together.

So Democrats, we are going to have to find something that we like about Trump.

I think his idea to spend at least $550 billion on fixing the infrastructure is solid. Although, President Obama tried to do that and Congress wouldn’t let him.

But if Trump can support that project with low interest bonds, then maybe the no-spend Republicans will approve. Thank God. We can give those angry white men jobs.

I’ll be rooting for you, Donald Trump. I'll take off my mourning black, wear purple, and pray for your success.
