Too much put at risk in Bucksport
Since the granting of a permit by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to develop the Industrial Park Marina in Bucksport, flood waters have breached the waste water treatment plant across the road from the marina. At this point, we do not know what damage has been done, nor do we know what consequences are in store.
We have been told that the people in that area served by the plant have been asked not to flush unless necessary. All the studies and plans and science don't mean a thing when such devastation is evident and affecting the daily lives of the residents in this area.
A deep water marina is an unnecessary risk for the people in that area.
