Other sports should learn from golf
I was watching the World Series and realized how boring the games were because the pitchers were too good for the batters. The hitters could not hit a 95 mph to more than 100-mph pitch. The pitching mound is the same length from home plate as it was 100 years ago when the pitchers were probably throwing 70 miles per hour.
Baseball should move the pitchers mound back so the batters have more reaction time. The same with basketball. A century ago, the average player was a foot shorter than today. Now giants dunk the ball while hardly jumping. Raising the basket would bring more skill to the game.
Golf has adjusted by moving the length of the course. Can you imagine the pros today playing courses the length they were 100 years ago?
Of course there has to be some adjustments on how to do all this, but it would make the games more exciting to watch.
