Trump is not my president

I have never labeled myself Democrat or Republican. I am simply, and proudly, an American. Therefore, without bias, I have always been able to vote my conscience without being locked into a party affiliation.

Over the years, I have been jubilant when the candidate of my choice was elected, and disappointed when not. No matter the outcome, I have always had a feeling of great pride and respect for our elected president, regardless of party designation.

That was until the election of Donald Trump on Nov. 8, 2016.

Yes, it is true, presidential campaigns have always been spirited, vigorous and most times very heated. But never in my lifetime have I witnessed a campaign filled with such overwhelming anger, hatred, manipulation and division. Knowing that the future president of our great country is a person with no moral compass, who has proven to be rude, crude, arrogant, disrespectful and self-serving, is nothing short of astonishment and despair.

For those who voted for Trump, very soon you will come to realize that you have been victimized by the biggest con artist since Bernie Madoff. There is,however, a light at the end of the tunnel. The nightmare which he has and will continue to create will be over in four. In the meantime, God Bless and protect the United States of America against the reign of this ego maniac.
