Liberals need to get over it; Trump won
This has nothing to do with the right to protest. That is a given; everyone has a right to protest.
But for months before the election, Donald Trump and Trump supporters have relentlessly been asked if he loses the election, would he accept the outcome. Trump has been elected and it's the Democrats-progressives-leftists who can’t accept the outcome of the election.
In mostly Democratic-controlled cities, there are continuous protests and marches against the fairly elected Trump, with signs saying “He is not my President” and referring to him as a racist, bigot, anti-immigration, anti-woman, etc.
The media questions the protesters but never asks why they can't accept the outcome.
Its not just about people protesting; it’s about the so-called responsible leaders who cannot accept the outcome of the election but are tacitly urging on the protesters. Sen. Bernie Sanders implied the election didn't reflect the people’s choice when he said, “We may want to look at the whole Electoral College, which is seating a man for president who didn't get the most votes.”
He never mentioned that’s the way presidents are elected.
Sen. Cory Booker, one of the few young rising stars in the Democratic Party said: “And so, when you have a president in his campaign who ran saying things that not are just contrary to a fact, but literally threatening to use presidential power in a way that would erode rights and privileges and equality of large sections of Americans, God bless the protesters.”
Retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said: “The election of Donald Trump has emboldened the forces of hate and bigotry in America. White nationalists, Vladimir Putin and ISIS are celebrating Donald Trump's victory, which innocent, law-abiding Americans are wracked with fear....”
Where are the responsible leaders in the Democratic party such as President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Elizabeth Warren? Why aren't they forcefully speaking out against this outrage?
The election is over. It’s time to get over it.
