Know your Confederate flag facts before spouting off
I read with interest the article by The Associated Press reporter Jeffrey Collins about the Confederate flag at a restaurant. Being based in Columbia, I would think he would know more about the flags of the Confederacy.
The Stars and Bars flag he referred to as the racist-related flag is incorrect. The Stars and Bars is the flag of the Confederate government. He has confused this flag with the Confederate Battle Flag, which is the flag that causes so much controversy. He should have known this.
