Stop supporting disrespectful protests
Disrespect for the symbol of our country, for which countless lives were lost defending, and the principles it stands for is unacceptable.
I recognize we should exercise our First Amendment rights. However, an open forum where millions of people with similar or conflicting views are exposed to should not be memorialized nor sanctified because some overpaid individual has an issue. Let them find another way or mechanism to protest.
I never respected, and will never respect, athletes who protest a societal issue in a venue that is not appropriate. Football is banned from my home forever. I stopped watching some Olympics telecast when the protests were obvious. I hate to stop viewing a TV station that carries many of my favorite programs. Why should I suffer because some disrespectful protesters can't figure it out?
Any professional or college telecast that allows such protests will be banned from my home. People, we have a voice, too. If you disagree with these individuals protesting, stop watching!
Once ratings decline, I predict a policy change may be inevitable.
