There are flaws in our storm water protection regulations
Could this happen to you? Contractor builds a house back of yours. You note the raising of the landscape to the point your property will be flooded from runoff. You complain to county storm water. They send a guy out who tells you all is within code.
Of course, the new home, on higher ground, ends up flooding your entire property every hard rain. After Hurricane Matthew, the entire house floods. In your retirement years, you alone must now remove all flooring and much drywall.
How could your county allow this to happen? They say there is a “flaw” in the system, but your entire life sits out on your front yard because your county would not listen to your pleas.
