Time to pull together for a great school year

A blessing on this school year from a teacher librarian:

May our students come to school with a renewed energy to learn. If they had a rough summer (as many have had), may they find comfort and support in our halls and be reminded by all school staff that this year is full of new opportunity. May we teachers embrace each student anew, setting aside any preconceptions.

May our curriculum be filled with interesting and challenging material so our students are engaged in critical thinking. May we teachers build a support system with each other for sustenance, as things get rough. May each of us set a realistic goal for this semester and forgive ourselves when we fall short.

For teaching is not an exact discipline- we must always be changing our plans and welcoming new people. Finally, may the public and parents be as supportive and forgiving to each school member (teacher and students included) for our continued growth and improvement.
