A few simple ways to fix Social Security

Re Sept. 14 “We must force politicians to outline ways Social Security will be saved” letter by Darrell Eickhoff.

I have a few suggestions. First, though highly unlikely, the government should pay back all the money it “borrowed” from the Social Security fund. The government could and should stop giving Social Security payments to undocumented residents.

Why should those here illegally receive Social Security?

And lastly, those receiving disability who are not disabled should be tracked down and punished for fraud. Those who are truly disabled deserve help and those who are legal residents paid into the system and deserve what is rightly theirs.

Simple solutions.
