Better information could round out views about Muslims
Re. “The lives of Muslim terror victims matter, too” column by Abdi Nor Iftin.
I recently sent you an email trashing The Sun News for the bad taste of a cartoon it published.
I would not feel it would be fair if I did not send you a note praising the fact that you chose to publish a well written and informative column by someone I never heard of before, Abdi Nor Iftin of The Washington Post.
More articles like his ought to appear in the Western media which, often with its selection of news, creates amongst readers a misplaced anger against all Muslims due to ignorance of the reality and the situations most Muslims face in their own lands.
What a great piece of information Abdi Nor Iftin wrote.
Anyone who reads it will certainly feel an empathy – as well as a better understanding of the reality -- for the majority of moderate Muslims , who are caught between the violent, often deadly, extremism of their own radicals and a Western world opinion which not always understands them and the very difficult situation they find themselves in.
