Sen. Robert Byrd was a good man; stop sliming him
Yes, I am from West Virginia. I am very offended by the letter about Sen. Robert Byrd. The Clintons have done so very many wrong things in their political careers and supported and praised wrong issues. However, must you bring up someone who is no longer among us?
There are so many more people living that you could have used as an example! Obviously, your mother never taught you to not speak ill of the deceased, as my mom did. Sen. Byrd was the subject of ridicule and laughed at because he hung in his job past his prime. But every state should be as lucky to have such a man represent them as West Virginia was to have him stand up for us.
Sen. Byrd was well loved by his state because he tirelessly worked and did everything possible for the betterment for his constituents, not for himself, as most of the senators do today. Shame on you for picking on someone who cannot defend himself.
