Another agrees that gift to CCU bad for taxpayers
Re Oct. 29 letter from Elisa Colombo, “City Gift to CCU Unfair to Taxpayers”:
I agree with the writer. Why isn't the $500,000 gift of the City of Conway tax dollars to CCU on the Mayor’s list of achievements as she sought re-election? Why did the residents of Conway have no input into the squandering of such a large amount of their tax money by their elected officials?
What will be the return on investment to the city taxpayers for this large unethical expenditure? Anyone involved with this decision to throw taxpayer dollars away should be fired and lose their pension. The city mayor and council are not being good stewards of the people's money and yet they keep winning re-election. Looks like the city of Conway residents should demand better decision makers.
