If black GOP candidate is elected, will SC politicians oppose him?

A few years back, a white South Carolina politician stated that his party members couldn’t work with issues that the black man in Washington favored. It would have been political suicide to agree to something like the Affordable Care Act. It seemed to not raise an eyebrow around this state.

Now that the same party has their own “black” candidate running for President, would there still be a stalemate if the black man in Washington is of the same party.
