Hurricane disturbance detected off the coast from Myrtle Beach, NHC says
A storm might be forming just off the coast of Myrtle Beach.
There is a 10% chance of a cyclone formation as of Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami which works for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
There will be a chance for significant and “much-needed” two to three inches of rain on Wednesday and Thursday, Meteorologist Tim Armstrong with the National Weather Service in Wilmington said.
The early half of the week will have temperatures in the high 60‘s and low 80’s along the coast, while Conway may reach up to the low 90’s, Armstrong added.
There is a low chance of hurricane formation in the Myrtle Beach area, but it is still vital to stay prepared, Armstrong said.
