A mix of clouds and sun is expected and a strong afternoon thunderstorm is possible in the Myrtle Beach area with a high temperature of 94 degrees, according to AccuWeather. Partly cloudy skies are expected overnight with a strong thunderstorm and a low of 78. Tomorrow's forecast calls for heavy afternoon storms and 94 degrees.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C. has warned there is a severe thunderstorm threat for northeast South Carolina and southeast North Carolina both Tuesday and Wednesday. Officials with the weather service said 70 mile-per-hour wind gusts and large hail are possible today, along with an isolated tornado. On Wednesday, there is another round of severe weather expected, but this system will stick mainly to the coastal areas. There is a threat of 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts on Wednesday and large hail.
