Pee Dee under a heat advisory until Wednesday evening

On Wednesday at 1:47 a.m. a heat advisory was issued by the NWS Wilmington NC valid between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Marlboro, Darlington, Dillon, Florence and Marion counties.

The NWS informs, "Heat index values up to 107 degrees expected."

"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses," says the NWS.
