All Horry County Schools facilities will be closed Friday, Sept. 30 due to the forecast for inclement weather related to Hurricane Ian, according to a news release.

The school system will operate on Friday with an eLearning day for all students.

“School staff members will provide directions for students regarding Friday’s eLearning day,” said the release. “Additionally, all after-school activities for Thursday, September 29, 2022, and Friday, September 30, 2022, are cancelled (sic).”

All Horry County School employees will work remotely except for non-instructional staff such as, but not limited to, nutrition services staff, bus drivers, maintenance technicians, and building services staff, according to the release.
