Colder temperatures, strong thunderstorms forecast in Myrtle Beach area
Wet and cooler weather is expected for the Myrtle Beach area for the rest of the week.
Meteorologists predict strong to severe thunderstorms on Friday night and Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.
Temperatures will drop Saturday night and Sunday into the upper 20s to low 30s with a 90% chance of rain Saturday.
The forecast shows dense fog is expected over the waters on Thursday morning, Friday night and early Saturday.
