8-year-old SC girl killed in logging truck accident

An 8 year-old girl who was seriously injured Thursday in a logging truck accident in Batesburg-Leesville has died.

Kalieah S. Richardson, 8, died from the injuries she received in an accident involving a logging truck and the vehicle in which she was a front-seat passenger.

Kalieah was pronounced dead Friday evening at Palmetto Health Richland hospital. She was taken there after the collision on North Lee Street.

The accident is under investigation by the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is assisting.
