One person has died days after sustaining injuries from a crash on a Richland County road, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

At 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a 2011 Dodge SUV was driving east on St. Andrews Road, about 4 miles north of the city of Columbia, as a 2010 Chevrolet sedan was driving west. The sedan hit the SUV near the intersection of Greenore Drive, Master Trooper William Bennett said.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Prisma Health Richland Hospital for their injuries, as were the driver and the passenger of the sedan. On Thursday, the passenger died from their injuries. The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not publicly identified the deceased.

The highway patrol is continuing to investigate the collision.
