The Fox News Channel morning show Fox & Friends is coming to South Carolina Monday for a Veterans Day segment at Veterans Cafe and Grille in Myrtle Beach.

The event, which will be from 6 to 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, is part of the show’s Breakfast with Friends series.

During the segment, Fox & Friends co-host and South Carolina native Ainsley Earhardt will speak with veterans and restaurant patrons, and at the end of the show Air Force veteran and country music artist Tyler Kinch will perform.

Veterans Cafe and Grille, which features a small military museum, was chosen for the segment because it caters to veterans in the Grand Strand community.

“We did a call-to-action last week asking for Fox & Friends viewers to suggest diners for Breakfast with Friends,” Fox News Media executive vice president of morning programming and program development Megan Albano said in an email. “Multiple viewers suggested the Veterans Cafe in Myrtle Beach, and we thought it would be a perfect spot to host a Veterans Day edition of Breakfast with Friends.”

The restaurant was going to close last month, but was able to continue serving the community after Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center, or VWHRC, took over operations.

“We were moved by their story — they were getting ready to close their doors due to economic struggles, until a veterans organization stepped in and saved them,” Albano said.

According to CEO Scott Dulebohn, Veterans Cafe and Grille’s doors will open at 5:30 a.m. for customers to place orders off a limited menu. The restaurant will serve its two-two-two special, biscuits and gravy or a breakfast sandwich.

“We’re just looking forward to all the veterans showing up and just enjoying a beautiful day and kicking their feet up and just making the day all about them,” Dulebohn said.
