One person was killed Saturday in an early morning crash where a pickup truck hit multiple objects, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The single-vehicle collision happened at about 5 a.m. in Laurens County, Master Trooper Gary Miller said.
A 2019 Dodge Ram was driving east on Kimbark Lane and ran off the road near the intersection with Wheatly Way, Miller said. That’s in the Fountain Inn area, near Interstate 385.
Off the road, the pickup crashed into a mailbox, transformer and several trees, according to Miller.
Miller said the driver died, but there was no word if it was at the scene or an area hospital.

Miller said the driver was the only person in the pickup, and no other injuries were reported.
There was no word if the driver was wearing a seat belt.
