This summer, Avelo Airlines is launching new flights connecting New Haven, Connecticut to three S.C. vacation destinations.

Service between New Haven (HVN) and Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Savannah/Hilton Head will start in early May. Avelo will be the only airline offering service between New Haven and those three airports. Avelo Airlines is just four years old and is based on the West Coast but recently has been expanding East Coast offerings.

First-time flyers can get a $49 ticket.

Avelo’s announcement this week arrives just as Spirit Airlines shared that it will connect Myrtle Beach to five new destinations: Louisville, Ky., Manchester, N.H., Milwaukee, Wis., Rochester, N.Y. and St. Louis.

“We are so excited to be expanding our nonstop service from six to 10 destinations. Whether it’s spring break in Myrtle Beach, a visit to historic Charleston and Savannah, or a trip to the Music City, you can now get there at a low cost from right here in New Haven thanks to Avelo Airlines,” Tweed-New Haven airport director Sean Scanlon said in a press release.

For Myrtle Beach (MYR), flights will be initially scheduled to run six days per week, every day except Wednesday. Flights between Charleston (CHS) and New Haven will run four days per week — Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

At the Savannah/Hilton Head airport (SAV), flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
