SC has three new millionaires after Powerball wins this week. Where were they bought?
The South Carolina Education Lottery sold three tickets worth more than a million dollars each for the Powerball drawing Wednesday, lotto official said.
“The first day of spring bloomed large for three Powerball players in South Carolina,” the Education Lottery said in a press release. People bought two tickets worth $2 million each and a third worth $1 million.
Here’s where each ticket was sold:
- $2 million at the QuikTrip #1048 at 9565 Charlotte Hwy. in Indian Land
- $2 million at the Publix Super Markets #1012 at 111 W. Butler Rd. in Mauldin
- $1 million at Skiff LLC at 205 S. Goose Creek Blvd. in Goose Creek
The winning numbers for Wednesday night are 10-14-50-53-63 with a Powerball of 21.
The three tickets each matched the five numbers, but not the Powerball, the lotto said. The $2 million winners added $1 to the price of the ticket to double their winnings, according to the Education Lottery.
“The odds of matching five white ball numbers are 1 in 11,688,054,” the press release said.
Lottery officials said, “Winners should sign their ticket and secure them.”
“Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Winners above $100,000 must come to the Columbia Claims Center to redeem their winnings,” according to the Education Lottery.
