‘Tis the season of giving, and one Secret Santa gave a generous donation to an Upstate elementary school to relieve students of their lunch debt.

According to television station WYFF, the principal at Forest Acres Elementary, Darian Byrd, received a call from the Secret Santa sometime last week asking how he could help students out.

Byrd said around 100 students owed money on their lunch accounts and explained that some students only get their meals for the day while they’re at school, WYFF reported.

The Secret Santa made the charitable donation on Tuesday and paid off every account in the entire school, Fox Carolina noted.

“When families ask about what happened, please share this incredible act of kindness, and ask them to simply find a way to ‘pay it forward,’” Byrd wrote in a statement to Fox Carolina. “There is no one to thank — the donor wishes to stay anonymous. It's just an amazing feeling to know that somebody would want to help as many students as this person has!”
