Judge rules mistrial in case of North Charleston police shooting

The judge in the Michael Slager case has ruled a mistrial.

Slager, a former North Charleston police officer, was on trial for murder in the shooting of Walter Scott. Slager had pulled over Scott for a busted tail light before Scott fled the scene on foot.

The judge also told the jury they could now speak to the media about the case.
