Rock Hill man accused of voter fraud
The Herald reported that local and state authorities are investigating alleged voter fraud in Rock Hill.
The 68-year-old Rock Hill man is accused of voting through an absentee ballot on May 27 and then voting again in person on Nov. 1, according to the law enforcement records.
According the The Herald York County sheriff’s deputies were called to the York County voter registration office on Nov. 1. According to the director of the office deputies were told that the man had requested an absentee ballot on May 27 and had it witnessed on Oct. 12. Deputies said the ballot was received on Oct. 15.
The case has been forwarded to the State Law Enforcement Division. On Tuesday a SLED spokesman confirmed that the “agency had received the request and is investigating,” according to The Herald.
As of Tuesday no charges have been filed.
