Several thousand lucky people won a share of a $4.9 million prize after playing the numbers 3-3-3 in the North Carolina Education Lottery.

The big win took place on Feb. 9, according to a release from the organization. There were 12,406 tickets that matched all three numbers.

The entries were all in the Pick 3 lottery, where the odds of matching all three numbers are 1 in 1000, the organization said. Players who bought fifty-cent tickets won $250, and those who bought $1 tickets won $500.

Drawings in the Carolina Pick 3 lottery are held twice a day, at 3 p.m. and 11:22 p.m. Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.
