A disgruntled fast-food worker rammed an SUV into the restaurant, North Carolina officials say.

And it was all because he was disappointed about his paycheck from a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Greenville, the city’s police department said.

About a dozen people were inside KFC when the employee drove into a wall on Tuesday, police spokesperson Kristen Hunter told McClatchy News.

Video and photos show a crumbling brick wall next to an outdoor drive-thru menu display, according to WITN.

The employee took off — but he didn’t escape for long, Hunter says.

Police say they caught up with the worker less than an hour later at a nearby hospital. He may have been injured in the hit-and-run crash, according to officers.

No one inside the building was hurt, Hunter said.

As of Tuesday afternoon, charges against the employee were pending, according to Hunter. An incident report from that day lists $6,000 in property damage at the same KFC restaurant.

Greenville is home to East Carolina University and is roughly 85 miles east of Raleigh.
