Some like it hot: Chick-fil-A testing spicy new menu items in Charlotte

Chick-fil-A lovers in the Charlotte area are going to get a spicy new treat. The company announced this week that they plan to test out new spicy chicken on its menu in the city.

Starting January 13, the company said it will serve new spicy chicken strips, a grilled spicy chicken sandwich and a biscuit sandwich with spicy chicken strips on the new test menu.

Charlotte is one of the first cities to get the new spicy Chick-fil-A menu. The company had rolled out the test menu at some stores in Philadelphia, Texas and Arizona in 2018.

“We’re excited to introduce our Charlotte customers to our new spicy menu items and look forward to hearing what they think,” Matt Reed with Chick-fil-A said.

The company is also getting rid of some menu items and changing others with the spicy new additions. The participating stores will no longer sell:

  • Sausage
  • Sunflower Multigrain Bagel
  • Original Chick-n-Strips™
  • Grilled Cool Wrap®
  • Side Salad
  • Decaf Coffee
