Several roads in Marion and Florence County are flooded as of Tuesday morning.

Lorena Pate with the SC Department of Transportation said crews are on the process of closing East Friendfield Road in Florence County because it's covered in six to eight inches of water.

She said Lynches River is rising and spilling over into roads.

Marion County Emergency Management Director Jerry Williams said Pee Dee Island Road in Nichols, Knife Island Court and Davis Landing Road continue to have standing water on them and are washing out.

"We continue to be under a flood warning. Looking at the river levels, it looks like we will see flooding through next week. Several roads continue to have water on them and they are being worked on as best the County Roads and Bridges Department can. They have been trying to keep the roads open," said Williams.
