Horry County voters will head to the polls Tuesday in runoff elections to settle two races.

State Senate District 34

Republicans Reese Boyd and Stephen Goldfinch, both attorneys from Murrells Inlet and both receiving barely over 40 percent of the vote in the primary June 14, will face off Tuesday. Joe Ford and Dick Withington received 11.2 and 5.2 percent of the vote, respectively.

Horry County Board of Education District 4

Newcomer Scott Thompson and District 9 board member David Cox are going head-to-head on Tuesday. Both Cox and Thompson received less than 50 percent of the vote during the primary, resulting in the runoff. District 9 member Cox moved from Loris to The Market Common in Myrtle Beach in 2014, resulting in his run for District 4.
