Question | What would you do if elected to repair confidence in the Horry County Police Department as well as reduce crime?
Answer | I support the merging of the Sheriff Department with the Horry County Police Department to make the budget more efficient. If merged, Sheriff [Phillip] Thompson is highly qualified to manage both departments. The merger would fill the vacant positions within the Horry County Police Department. I support having officers trained and compensated in order to keep them employed in our county to reduce crime.
