Republican presidential contender Carly Fiorina will participate in a town hall meeting at 5 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Applewood House of Pancakes in Pawleys Island.

Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard, will outline her vision for America and take questions from the audience, said Reese Boyd, Horry County GOP state executive committeeman in a statement.

During Fiorina’s last visit in September, more than 1,000 people turned out to hear her speak at the Conservative Leadership Project’s presidential forum.

The heavily attended forum came on the heels of Fiorina’s strong showing in the Republican debate, and her candidacy had surged to second place in numerous national polls.

Fiorina’s visit this month will be held in a much smaller venue, and seating will be limited.

Event organizers are encouraging those who wish to attend to register for a free ticket through the Georgetown County Republican Party website.

Fiorina is not polling strong in South Carolina with only two percent of GOP voter support, according to a poll released this week by Winthrop.

Unfortunately I think Donald Trump’s over-reaction is just as dangerous as Obama’s under-reaction.

New York billionaire Donald Trump still retains a commanding lead in the Republican primary with South Carolina voters.

That support increased significantly after Trump’s comment that Muslims should be temporarily banned from entering the U.S. because of the recent terrorist attacks in California and Paris.

The first two nights the poll was conducted Trump was earning 30 percent of the vote. Following his comments on Monday, that number jumped to 38 percent during the final two nights of the poll Monday and Tuesday.

Fiorina and several other Republican presidential candidates criticized Trump’s remarks as dangerous, the New York Times reported.

“Unfortunately I think Donald Trump’s over-reaction is just as dangerous as Obama’s under-reaction,” Fiorina said.
