Two incumbents and one newcomer in the North Myrtle Beach council race were elected Tuesday, according to unofficial vote counts.

Nicole Fontana received 2,496 votes over Jolene Puffer’s 2,117, the city announced. They were running for the Windy Hill seat.

Bubba Collins beat Norfleet Jones for the Ocean Drive seat with 3,007 votes, while Jones received 1,794 votes.

Terry White, who served on council for 29 years representing the Ocean Drive district, announced earlier this year he would not run for reelection. He endorsed Collins.

With 3,375 votes, Trey Skidmore defeated William Davis, who received 1,394 votes. Skidmore was first elected to the at-large position earlier this year during a special election after former council member Bob Cavanaugh announced his resignation in 2020. He spent nearly 20 years on the council.

North Myrtle Beach Municipal Election Commission will meet on Nov. 4 to certify the election. Any runoff election will be held on Nov. 16.
