Dog with ‘magical little spins’ has been waiting 860 days for a home at shelter
A pup in a Philadelphia shelter has been patiently waiting for over two years for a home of his own.
Introducing Wiggles, a 6-year-old pit bull mix with boundless energy who is just looking for a person to finally notice him and give him a warm home.
And he’s been waiting so very long for one.
“Wiggles has been waiting 856 days for a home,” the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) said in a Nov. 5 Facebook post.
“That’s more than two years of living in a kennel, dreaming of a family of his own.”
Thing is, no one can quite figure out why the dog they call a “world-class goofball” just cannot catch a break from those who visit the kennels.
“We can’t understand why no one’s asked about him. He’s such a fun, loving boy. Wiggles adores his people, is always up for an adventure, and is open to meeting other dogs,” the shelter said.
“And when he’s happy? He does the most magical little spins that’ll make you smile every single time.”
Wiggles is a lover of toys and waterplay but will need a second or two to get used to a new human in his life.
“He may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, you’ll discover a loyal companion who loves to share snuggles and endless affection,” his pet profile says.
