Kidnapped 18-year-old is forced to play Russian roulette with 3 others, AR cops say
An 18-year-old was kidnapped by three men and forced to play Russian roulette because of his dating relationship, according to Arkansas police and news reports.
The Sherwood Police Department said the 18-year-old victim had just driven his girlfriend’s car from Little Rock to her Sherwood home Sept. 20 when he was approached by an acquaintance of his girlfriend, according to a police report obtained by Arkansas Business.
The man put his arms around the victim’s neck, then ushered him to the back of the house, KFSM reported, citing police. The victim said he “heard a gun cock and pressed against his back” before being directed into a car, where the suspect’s alleged co-conspirators were waiting.
Police said the three men told the victim he needed to stop dating his girlfriend, KARK reported. They took him to a home in North Little Rock, where they tied him to a chair, the outlet reported, citing police.
He was forced to play Russian roulette with the other three men, police said, and he remembered the trio “spinning the cylinder” of the revolver, according to Arkansas Business.
Russian roulette is a deadly game involving a single bullet placed into a revolver. Players take turns spinning the revolver and pointing the gun at themselves before pulling the trigger.
The police report states the men told the 18-year-old he needed to leave Little Rock “or they would kill him and his family,” according to Arkansas Business.
Police said the trio is also accused of destroying the victim’s phone, KLRT reported.
After being let go, the 18-year-old was found to have “bruises and cuts consistent with being restrained,” according to KFSM.
The three suspects — 54-year-old Robert Ellerd, 23-year-old Jackson Homan and 19-year-old Charles Homan — were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and terroristic threatening, KARK reported.
