Lottery player scores $25,000 a year for life prize in NC. Where was ticket sold?
A lottery player has a lot to celebrate after scoring a life-changing prize in North Carolina.
The player bought a Lucky for Life ticket that matched all but one number picked in the April 2 drawing, making it worth $25,000 a year for life, results show.
The winning numbers: white balls 18-22-35-36-43, with gold Lucky Ball 8.
The player is set to get richer after their ticket matched all the white balls. It was sold at Fast Mart, a convenience store on The Plaza in Charlotte, the N.C. Education Lottery wrote on its website and in an email to McClatchy News.
Lucky for Life is a drawing game that offers $2 tickets. The big winner was one number from scoring the game’s top prize of $1,000 a day for life.
In the same drawing, another North Carolina ticket was worth $5,000. That ticket was sold to an online player in Charlotte, lottery officials wrote in their email and on X, formerly known as Twitter.
As of early April 3, no one had claimed the $25,000 a year prize. In North Carolina, Lucky for Life winners have about six months to cash in, rules show.
