Mom calls cops after finding her teen sons fatally shot in shed, Texas cops say
Two teenage boys were found fatally shot in a robbery gone wrong, Texas officials said.
On Feb. 27, the boys’ mom called Pleasanton officers after she found her sons, ages 17 and 14, bleeding and unconscious in the small shed behind their home, according to a Facebook post by the police department.
Officers arrived at the scene, where the teens were pronounced dead with gunshot wounds, officials said.
Detectives located the two juvenile suspects, who had been identified as persons of interest, police said. Officers then found evidence in their car that linked them to the shooting.
They were taken to the police department to be questioned, officials said.
It was later determined the juvenile suspects planned to rob the victims until “something went wrong,” officers said.
Officers didn’t specify the relationship between the suspects and the victims, but they believe they’ve found the weapon used in the shooting, officials said.
The investigation remains active as of Feb. 28, but the two juvenile boys were charged with capital murder and transported to the Atascosa County Juvenile Detention Center, officials said.
The victims will be sent to the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office, officials said. They have not been publicly identified.
Pleasanton is about a 40-mile drive south of San Antonio.
