A Michigan teen was arrested after police say he targeted a man he met on a dating app and killed him.

Ahmed Al-Alikhan, 17, of Detroit is charged with first-degree murder, according to police.

Attorney information for Al-Alikhan was not available.

On Sept. 29, officers were called to a Detroit home for reports of a dead person at the residence, according to an Oct. 8 news release.

When authorities arrived, they found a 64-year-old man dead from multiple stab wounds inside a living room, police said.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office identified the man as Howard Brisendine, according to WJBK.

“He left the material world in a volatile manner at the hand of a monster that took his life for being gay,” a GoFundMe page said.

Police said Al-Alikhan met Brisendine on a dating app. He targeted Brisendine because he was a member of the LGBTQ community, according to police.

“Al-Alikhan stabbed the victim multiple times, fatally injuring him, before taking the victim’s car keys and fleeing the scene in his vehicle,” police said.

Al-Alikhan was arrested on Oct. 1. In addition to first-degree murder, he is charged with felony murder and unlawful driving away an automobile.
