Three men accused of tying up and torturing roommate for 14 hours, Colorado cops say
A 45-year-old man told authorities he was tied up and tortured for 14 hours by his housemates, Colorado sheriff’s officials reported.
A hospital notified authorities at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, that a patient reported he had been held captive, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The man told deputies his roommates had tied him up and beaten, burned and whipped him for 14 hours, officials said.
One also stepped on his neck, seriously injuring him and causing him to fall unconscious, deputies said.
An uninvolved person in the home eventually helped the man escape and get to a hospital, deputies said.
Jason Carlson, 49, Sherell Allen, 48, and Luke Anaya, 41, face charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and assault, deputies said.
Investigators are searching for a fourth person.
The sheriff’s office did not say why the men allegedly held the man captive and abused him.
An investigation into the incident continues.
Jefferson County is about a 30-mile drive southwest from Denver.
