A woman vanished in 2010, Utah cops say. Her body was just found 12 years later
A woman vanished in Utah over a decade ago, police said. Now her body’s been found.
Amy Louise Westreicher was reported missing in 2010 after living in Roosevelt for “a short time,” the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office said. She was 32 years old when she disappeared.
“It was reported that Westreicher went missing from a residence in the Duchesne County area,” the sheriff’s office said in a July 21 news release. “Detectives with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office have searched for leads and information and Westreicher had been listed on missing person sites since then.”
After 12 years, a landowner discovered the remains in Duchesne County.
Officials did not say specifically where the remains were found, or how the landowner discovered them.
The remains were sent to the Utah Office of Medical Examiners and were identified as Westreicher.
“The circumstances of Amy’s disappearance are currently being investigated,” the sheriff’s office said. “If there is any known information about Amy’s disappearance, please call the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office.”
