‘Bandit’ raccoon flushes ballpark toilet while attempting to escape Missouri cops
A “bandit” raccoon fell through the ceiling of a bathroom at a Missouri ballpark, officials say.
It wasn’t easy to remove.
An employee found the raccoon at Ballparks of American in Branson last week after crashing through the ceiling tiles, police say. The employee called 911 for help catching it.
But when an animal control officer opened a door and attempted to coax the animal outside, the raccoon wouldn’t leave.
“The raccoon was less than thrilled with the officer’s attempts to help him and even managed to flush the toilet while evading the officer,” a city spokesperson told McClatchy News.
Eventually, the raccoon’s escape attempt fell short and it was caught with a snare pole.
After it was checked for injuries, the raccoon was released into the woods.
