Myrtle Beach is already closing roads ahead of Carolina Country Music Fest
It’s almost time for the Grand Strand’s biggest music festival – and the heavy traffic it brings to downtown Myrtle Beach.
This year’s Carolina Country Music Fest will run from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 7, at Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place at 812 N. Ocean Blvd.
For the festival, the city will have a driver’s entrance at Mr. Joe White Avenue and Oak Street. There will also be a designated rideshare area at Ninth Avenue North between Kings Highway and Broadway Street.
Although the festivities won’t start until next week, Myrtle Beach has already closed a portion of Ocean Boulevard between Eighth and Ninth avenues North, including sidewalks.
Here’s a full rundown of the 2026 Carolina Country Music Fest road closures:
Closed Friday, May 29, until Thursday, June 11, at 5 p.m.:
- Ocean Boulevard between Eighth and Ninth avenues North, including sidewalks
Closed Sunday, May 31, at 8 a.m. until Thursday, June 11, at 5 p.m.
- Ocean Boulevard between Seventh and Eighth avenues North
- Eighth Avenue North, including all lanes and parking spaces
- Chester Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues North, including parking lanes and spaces
- Chester Street between Ninth Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue, with limited access for buses and local businesses during the event
- Ninth Avenue North, eastbound lane between Highway 17 Business and Ocean Boulevard, including parking lanes and spaces
- Ninth Avenue North between Broadway Street and Kings Highway, with eastbound lane access only for rideshare vehicles after event gate opening time
- Eighth Avenue North Beach Access and nearby gravel lot
- York Street, but local business access permitted
Closed Tuesday, June 2, at 8 a.m. until Tuesday, June 9, at 4 p.m.:
- Ninth Avenue North, westbound lane between Chester Street and Ocean Boulevard
Closed Tuesday, June 2, at 8 a.m. until Tuesday, June 9, at 5 p.m.
- Ocean Boulevard, between Ninth Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue, with limited access for local business deliveries from Mr. Joe White Avenue
Closed Wednesday, June 3, at 8 a.m. until Monday, June 8, at 8 a.m.
- Alleyways on either side of Ground Zero, located along Chester Street
