Horry County swing bridge to close. Here’s when it will impact travel and how long
A swing bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Horry County will close for maintenance this week.
The Sea Mountain Highway swing bridge, also known as the Little River swing bridge, is set to close temporarily, beginning 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, the South Carolina Department of Transportation announced.
The bridge is expected to reopen on June 20, according to a release.
“SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near a work zone,” the announcement says.
