New direct flight coming to Myrtle Beach Airport. Here’s where northern flight will land
A new direct flight will connect Myrtle Beach to another Northeastern city.
Frontier Airlines will start direct flights to Trenton, New Jersey, according to a release from the company. Service will begin on July 10 and will run twice a week.
Tickets start at $49 one way.
The ultra-low fare airline also flies to Cleveland, Ohio; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Long Island, New York, according to the Myrtle Beach International Airport website. Frontier operates similar to Spirit Airlines, where basic flights are cheap but passengers must pay more to add-on extras like a carry-on bag, in-flight snacks or to choose their seat.
Trenton is located about 60 miles away from the Manhattan borough of New York City.
“We are thrilled to begin offering ultra-low fare travel between Myrtle Beach and Trenton, increasing the affordable options available to both tourists hitting the beach this summer as well as to South Carolinians heading north,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines. “This new service supports our mission to bring The New Frontier to more travelers in more destinations, proving that affordable air travel can also offer unmatched comfort and convenience.”
